I've shopped here on, and off, and at the previous location in the arcade, for quite a while. Reuben runs an eclectic, engaged and charmingly idiosyncratic business, a tiny space utterly crammed with books of all kinds from front to back and floor to ceiling. He is also tireless in sourcing new stock and is a very approachable and interesting guy, which sets him and his book shop apart from the majority of the Island's other booksellers. Many of my visits to this place were during a very challenging and upsetting period of my life and an hour spent there, often with my young daughter, helped me to get through. Verdict: a brilliant, unique and well-run business. Visit it and spend some money!
This place is fantastic. second hand book shops are always a magical place but had a bizarre suplementary trade restoring and selling manual typewriters. Brilliant.
Lovely little bookshop with a vast array of books. Even if you don't know what you want there's a selection of books wrapped in brown paper with just a few adjectives describing the contents for a very reasonable price.
Loveliest bookshop I ever stumbled upon. They have a great selection of old and new books, all at reasonable prices. I could probably live there for the rest of my life, that's how cozy this place is
What a gem of a bookshop! We were in Shanklin for the afternoon and saw this small bookshop with an interesting name. Ended up buying some old books. You can find rare books and signed books here together with some WWI medals, old coins and other old paraphenalia.
