Defiantly A Nice Place To Stay In Shanklin. Very Nice Owners And Dog. The Room Was Comfortable And The Breakfast Was Very Tasty. Highly Recommend It.

Very pleasant bedroom but, unfortunately, as it was on the ground floor and at the front of the house , everyone coming into the property had to come past our room which felt rather intrusive. Floor to ceiling windows with not very effective net curtains also added to this problem. Hosts very pleasant and soon repaired a problem with the plumbing caused by a faulty shower in one of the upstairs bedrooms. Good choice of hot and cold food at breakfast, freshly cooked. Some people might not have been happy about their dog being allowed in the dining room while we were eating, especially as he was taking quite an interest in what we were eating. Close proximity to shops and restaurants but the beach can only be accessed by car, numerous steps or a lift which currently costs 1.50 each way per person.
We stayed in May 2018 in this very nice, old house in Shanklin. The room was nicely decorated and very clean! Every morning we got a decent breakfast, made to our wishes and also we got lots of (background and travel) information about the island. We hardly ever encountered such hospitality as we experienced here. All in all, a great place to stay, I'd recommend it to all!
Absolutely wonderful. Beautiful building & surroundings. Vera & Martin are perfect hosts, so friendly & welcoming. Wouldn't want to stay anywhere else now.
